About the 2024-2025 Brook Restoration Pre-Apprenticeship Program
Brook is offering 150 young adults (ages 18-29) a 10-week paid Pre-Apprenticeship Program that will provide insightful training and work experience in construction. The program is targeted towards individuals in at-risk communities, people experiencing homelessness, community housing residents, marginalized/racialized groups and new comers to Canada. The pre-apprenticeship program offers participants an introduction to many aspects of the construction trades, focusing on general building techniques, working with power tools, using different products in construction, and an introduction to the overall building envelope restoration and construction.
Each participant is eligible to receive full time employment within Brook Restoration at the end of the program. The high-level objective of this program is to provide marginalized young adults access to the tools and knowledge that will equip them with the skills to pursue a sustainable career in the construction industry.
